In the evening on August 30, 2013, a grand ceremony was held in Vietnam Embassy in China to celebrate the 68th National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. \nDistinguished guests of the reception were: Adjoint to the Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC, Mr. Guo Yezhou, Foreign Minister, Mr. Wang Yi, Foreign Minister of Vietnam, Mr. Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of \nForeign Affairs of Lao, Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Chairman of Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Mr. Yang Wenchang. \nNguyen Van Tho, Vietnamese ambassador to China, made a speech at the ceremony. \u201cChina and Vietnam are close neighbors. A time-honored traditional friendship has been established between Chinese and Vietnamese people\u201d – said. \nAs Pham Binh Minh, Foreign Minister of Vietnam pointed out, in the past 68 years, the Vietnamese people have made great efforts to establish friendly cooperative relationship with the world. Vietnam has become a responsible member country in the global community. over the past 63 years, Vietnam and China has gone through ups and downs in order to really become each other’s good friend, good partner, good neighbour and good comrade. \nWang Yi, Foreign Minister of China, also made a speech at the ceremony. He said that Vietnam\u2019s President Truong Tan Sang has paid a visit to China in June. Vietnam\u2019s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will soon attend the 10th China-Asean Expo (CAEXPO) in Nanning of Guangxi Province, and is planning to meet Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of China. His visit will undoubtedly strengthen the pragmatic cooperation between China and Vietnam.<\/p>\n
