Sri Lanka Shines in Beijing
斯里兰卡经济发展部举办的“斯里兰卡，闪耀北京”8月30日在北京世贸天阶启动。
该活动作为斯里兰卡旅游推广的主打项目，吸引了百余家新闻媒体到场，5000余名观众参与了为 期三天的斯里兰卡风情体验活动。在此次活动上，斯里兰卡旅游局全方面的展示了斯里兰卡融合人 文与自然的斯里兰卡独特风情；世界闻名的斯里兰卡珠宝,特别是蓝宝石、纺织品、海鲜以及斯里兰 卡红茶和其他特色产品，每天送出的免费斯里兰卡旅游大奖的公布更是点燃现场观众的热情。

“Sri Lanka Shines in Beijing” was launched on August 30 in The Place, Beijing by the Ministry of Economic Development of Sri Lanka.
The activity was an important element of the project promoting travel to Sri Lanka.
There were more than one hundred media outlets and 5 thousand people attending the event. The activity was held for 3 days during which the visitors had the opportunity to learn better Sri Lankan folk traditions and folk art.
world-famous Sri Lankan products were also shown, like jewels, especially sapphires, textiles, seafood, Sri Lanka black tea and some other special products.
The daily announcement of lucky draws with free travel to Sri Lanka big prizes aroused huge interest among the attendees.
In order to better introduce Sri Lanka, activities of round trip large-sized buses will be held in Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou. There will be almost 300 buses participating in these activities. A.H.M Fowzie, senior minister for Ministry of Municipal Affairs of Sri Lanka, is cutting the ribbon for the bus launching activity.
