On May 14th, 2013, the German Embassy in Beijing invited 120 Chinese university students and weibo fans of the embassy’s microblogs.
A short and general introduction of the embassy’s work was followed by a musical performance. The visitors then had the chance to take part in discussion groups and workshops led by the Political, Economic, Media, Cultural and Consular sections, during which they got an insight into the embassy’s working environment, including visa applications, press releases and bilateral negotiations.
The visitors finally had a get together with the embassy’s staff for some traditional German food and a lucky draw.
